CASTING NOTICE
Powerhouse Casting is seeking Male Piano Players ages 26 to 49 for a Car Commercial in Toronto GTA and Vancouver!
This films in Toronto. If talent is from Vancouver, travel and accommodation will be provided.
This is a performance-driven piece, so we need someone who is a genuinely accomplished pianist with confident, natural technique. Open to Diversity. He has a deep relationship with the piano and the music. Strong, expressive eyes, but everything about him should feel subtle and internal rather than performative.His movements at the piano are fluid, effortless and natural. He is more reserved than flamboyant and isn't playing to impress an audience. When he plays, he becomes completely absorbed in the music — almost entering a trance-like state. Above all, we need someone who is both an extraordinary pianist and compelling to watch on camera.
**THIS IS A NON-UNION PROJECT. If selected, pay is approx. $5,675.00 per person for a one day shoot.

PIANOPLAY FOR US — AND GET LOST IN THE MUSICPlease begin by playing a single note five times, with a small pause between each note.After the fifth note, let that simple repetition flourish naturally into a piece of your choice — something you love playing that shows us both your technical ability and musicality.Play for approximately 30–60 seconds.As the music develops, allow yourself to become completely absorbed in what you're playing. We want to see someone who gradually gets lost in the music and almost forgets anyone else is in the room.
Keep everything subtle, natural and internal. Don't perform for the camera.Please frame yourself so we can clearly see your face, upper body and hands at the piano.
IMPORTANTWe need a VERY ACCOMPLISHED PIANIST for this role. Please show us your best work. Technical ability is essential, but we're also looking for someone with presence, strong expressive eyes and a genuine emotional connection to the music.
